Carolina Ferrer - Founder, LCSW, QS family counseling center Fort Myers

Carolina is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the field for over 20 years. Carolina received her Bachelors of Social Work in 2008, her Masters of Social Work in 2010, and received her license as a clinical social worker in 2014.


Much of Carolina's professional experience has been working with vulnerable populations such as those experiencing substance abuse, domestic violence, prenatal/post partum/ adoption challenges, immigration related challenges, and numerous mental health conditions.


Carolina opened her practice in 2020 and now serves over 600 individuals within the community. Her goal is to meet individuals where they are at in life and provide assistance and empowerment in their mental health journey. Carolina works from a utilitarian approach and strives to serve as much good for the community through each individual.

Our Providers

Shelia Dixon - LCSW, QS

Shelia earned her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from Florida State University in 2008. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor she has over 17 years of experience in the field.


Shelia’s career includes providing counseling, case management, and crisis intervention for at-risk youth and families. She has focused on prevention and treatment to address issues like truancy, delinquency, homelessness, and involvement in the juvenile justice system.


For the past 8 years, Shelia has held leadership roles, mentoring interns and developing strong partnerships with stakeholders in juvenile justice, mental health, and child welfare. She is also a trainer in suicide prevention (QPR), Motivational Interviewing, Human Trafficking, Trauma-Informed Care, LGBTQIA+ youth, and is working toward becoming a Youth Mental Health First Aid trainer.

Michelle Cooper - MSW, Registered Clinical Social Work Intern

Michelle earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is currently a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern in the state of Florida and is actively working toward her Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).


Michelle began her career supporting individuals involved in the child welfare system and has since worked with diverse populations across the lifespan. Her clinical experience includes addressing concerns related to mental health, behavioral challenges, trauma, life transitions, substance use, and domestic violence. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Michelle brings a culturally responsive lens to her practice.


Using a compassionate, client-centered approach, Michelle meets each individual where they are in their journey. She collaborates closely with clients to support healing, foster resilience, and promote personal growth. Michelle is committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to become the best version of themselves.

Judith Gonzalez - LCSW, Registered Clinical Social Work Intern

Judith is a Clinical Therapist with social work degrees from FGCU and FSU, specializing in clinical practice and trauma-informed care, dedicated to supporting individuals with compassion, knowledge, and professional expertise.


Judith is dedicated to providing culturally sensitive, bilingual services, fostering safe and collaborative spaces. She empowers clients in their healing journey by combining evidence-based interventions with empathy, advocacy, and holistic, individualized care tailored to each person’s unique needs.


With a commitment to culturally sensitive and bilingual services, Judith creates safe, supportive, and collaborative spaces where clients feel understood and empowered in their healing journey. She is passionate about integrating evidence-based interventions with empathy and advocacy to ensure holistic, individualized care.

Marcos Polanco - Men's Group Leader

Marcos is an entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience and a deep passion for helping others. His life’s work has always centered on serving people in meaningful, impactful ways. Through his own personal journey, Marcos has seen firsthand the importance of mental health, and he is committed to being a steady voice of support and encouragement for those who are struggling.


As a man of faith, Marcos believes we are called to lift one another up, to do good, and to be a light in the lives of others. He carries that belief into every part of his life—whether in business, in his community, or in his most cherished role as a proud single father.

Flora Gutierrez - Office Manager

Flora Gutierrez is known for her drive, generosity, and commitment to empowering others. Her “pay‑it‑forward” mindset has helped her build strong, lasting relationships throughout SWFL. With a background in healthcare customer service—from medical billing and collections to management—she brings deep industry experience. Flora also has over 20 years of marketing, branding, and sales expertise as both a small‑business owner and collaborator with local businesses.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a second degree in International Business from Florida International University. As a single mother of two, she stays grounded and grateful for life’s small moments. Flora believes in balancing personal and professional life and is passionate about giving back through nonprofit work, philanthropy, and community involvement.

Gracie and Carolina

Gracie Hope - ESA

Gracie is a hypoallergenic Ausiepoo emotional support animal. At only one year old Gracie is extremely intuitive with others emotions. She can be found greeting clients at the office or sitting in on sessions to provide emotional support to clients.

Rocky - ESA

Rocky is a loving and loyal Yorkshire Terrier emotional support animal. Small in size but big in heart, he has a calming presence and brings comfort wherever he goes. Always eager to cuddle or sit nearby, Rocky has a special way of sensing emotions and offering quiet support. Whether greeting with tail wags or resting peacefully during sessions, Rocky helps create a safe and comforting environment for clients.
